4-12: A Rough Season for the Bears is a short story focusing on the new coach of the Chicago Bears. The story is told from the perspective of the new coach as he looks back and details his interview for the job and his first few seasons. The new coach takes the team over after a turbulent 4-12 season with plans of how he can turn things around and bring the team back to contender status. As with all such plans, there are successes and failures. Overall, this is a solid short story, particularly for a football fan as it touches on some of the complications that a coach would have when taking the reigns of a pro team.

The book had a decent plot. It just needed to be drawn out more, and be more detailed. Everything went so fast.
